> *Today, we are communicating an additional update on the Recall (preview) feature for Copilot+ PCs. Recall will now shift from a preview experience broadly available for Copilot+ PCs on June 18, 2024, to a preview available first in the* [*Windows Insider Program (WIP)*](https://www.microsoft.com/windowsinsider/?ref=bttr.reviews) *in the coming weeks. Following receiving feedback on Recall from our Windows Insider Community, as we typically do, we plan to make Recall (preview) available for all Copilot+ PCs coming soon.* [Pavan Davuluri – *Corporate Vice President, Windows + Devices*](https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2024/06/07/update-on-the-recall-preview-feature-for-copilot-pcs/?ref=bttr.reviews)

Looks like all the negative pushback on the privacy nightmare that is Microsoft's "Recall" feature has created an ever-so-slight increase in caution from the PC company.

Rather than rolling out on the 18th for anyone with a [CoPilot+ PC](https://www.bttr.reviews/copilot-plus-ai-computers/), the feature will be limited to those in the Windows Insider Program.

No clear date on when that will be made available – Microsoft says it'll have another Blog post when it's ready – but I can't imagine what will change to help limit the potential damage of the feature.

I really can't see why this is something the company is bullish on launching. It's benefit – being able to scroll through things you've seen and done on your PC previously – is minor at best, yet opens up a huge privacy issue if the data is ever compromised, even if Microsoft says you can turn it off.

I'm already a Mac user, but this makes me want to move to PC even less.
