An appreciation post for the Australian "HBO" Max social team

Warner Bros big wigs decided to rebrand their streaming service back to "HBO Max" from "Max" this week, just six weeks after launching in Australia.

There's no question that the executives at Warner Bros get paid too much. This week, the company announced it was rebranding its streaming platform to "HBO Max" from "Max".

This move comes two years after the leadership team decided to rebrand the service to "Max" from – you guessed it – "HBO Max".

But what makes this decision even more ridiculous – and indicates the sheer lack of thought that goes into these decisions from people who earn a lot more money that you and I do – is that this rebrand is coming just six weeks after the company launched Max in Australia.

Then followed up with a behind the scenes clip from the launch six weeks ago, with an appropriate mea culpa.

Next up, the best scene from Friends makes a meme-worthy appearance:

Some subtle perfection:

I'm not a big fan of social media, but the team managing the "HBO" Max Instagram account has done an outstanding job this week.
