Samsung's Bespoke AI Jet Ultra may offer more suction power than other stick vacuums, but you'll rarely use it.
- Full suction power is powerful
 - Plenty of attachments in the box
 - Good battery life

- AI mode rarely seems to get it right
 - Can be difficult to push on carpets
 - Doesn't auto-empty when you dock it

Itâs been almost 2.5 years since I looked at the Samsung Bespoke Jet Elite Extra stick vacuum. In that time, itâs clear with the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra that Samsung hasnât done too much to change up the iconic design of its stick vacuums, though it has cranked up the power.
The marketing materials for this vacuum very much focus on that 400 W of suction power. Itâs a big number, absolutely, but after a few weeks of using the vacuum, I have to say, itâs a meaningless stat.
For the most part, you will leave this in the AI auto mode, and even when you push it up to a higher suction power, itâs not like you notice it sucking at 400 Watts.
Power isnât everything, though. Samsung does enough with this vacuum that youâll be mostly content with its cleaning power, but there are elements that will frustrate you as well.
@bttr_reviews @Samsungau has sent me its latest vacuum to test out: the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra. It promises Great Power - up to 400 Watts - and therefore must come with Great Responsibility. Iâll find out as I put it through its paces for the review.

What makes the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra stand out?
Samsung loudly and proudly proclaims that this is the most powerful suction in a stick vacuum you can buy. Looking at the footnotes of the product page, this is based on independent testing, too:
Based on testing by SLG PrĂźf- und Zertifizierungs GmbH, in accordance with the IEC 62885-4 Cl.5.8 standard, using a handheld type vacuum cleaner (with no brush) in Jet mode. The results were compared to cordless stick vacuum models available on the market with a stated suction power within 30% of the actual suction power of the Samsung model tested by SLG. Based on sales data between January 2024 and December 2024 as compiled by an independent market research institute.
But suction power isnât the real reason to buy this. If you read that footnote, youâll see that those bold statements only refer to the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra when itâs in âJetâ mode, which only gives you about 14 minutes of cleaning time.
What I like most about this Samsung vacuum isnât the power, so much as its versatility. Samsung packs four separate power heads into one unit to make cleaning your home more efficient. Its base station lets you empty the dust bin without having to touch anything, and it will remove hair and up to 99.999% of fine dust particles.
At $1,699 RRP, it is quite a bit pricier than the Roborock H60 Hub Ultra and the Electrolux UltimateHome 800, but you do get more in the box with the Samsung, as well as the superior suction.

Design and build quality
The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra stick vacuum is a sleek-looking unit, particularly once you pop it on that charging hub.
The general design hasnât shifted too much since I reviewed the Bespoke Jet Elite Extra. The base station still reminds me of the sleek lines of an F1 car, designed to let the vacuum hang suspended from its dust bin.
That sleek design is still more form than functional, though. The vacuum literally hangs, so if the base station is placed in a way to put the vacuum in face-first, youâre left with the exposed power head sitting exposed. Spin it around so you see the ânicerâ side, and the vacuum is awkward to mount.
But these are minor quibbles. The Jet AI Ultra is lightweight and powerful, and the satin greige colour is inoffensive, making it a good match to most home decor.
In the box, you do get an accessory stand, but it becomes quickly apparent that there are too many attachments to store on both the vacuum and the stand.
You get three bags for the base station in the box, which should be enough to last for a few months at least.
Samsung has upgraded this vacuum with additional smart features. It connects through SmartThings so you can track performance and energy consumption. If you use a Samsung phone, youâll get an alert on the vacuum when your phone rings. I am not sure if thatâs a reason to buy or avoid the vacuum at all costs, though.
The controls are simple on the vacuum, with a central power button flanked by plus and minus icons that adjust the suction power. The colour screen can convey alerts, like when the vacuum gets clogged, as well as remaining battery power.

Cleaning performance
With all the marketing built up around the 400 W figure, you expect pretty good cleaning performance.
And you get it, mostly. With conditions.
By default, the vacuum turns on in AI mode, which promises to adjust the suction power and power head rotation to help you get the best clean based on the floor you are cleaning.
Generally speaking, I felt that AI mode was underpowered for the conditions. On a dirty, hard floor, the suction was too low to pick up larger crumbs by itself. I had to manually jack up the power to get things into the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra.
On carpets, it went the other way. I have two rugs in my home: The first is really low pile, underneath the kitchen table. I found the standard Active Dual Brush head would be too difficult to push on this carpet without a lot of force.
On my other rug, which requires a gentle vacuum, the Samsung vacuum moved fine. But during a deeper clean where I flipped the rug over to clean the underside, the Ultra sucked up so much of the rugâs fibres that it clogged the tube.
The good news, across all floor types, is that adjusting the settings is easy â just a button press.
The LED lights on the front of the power heads help illuminate the floor, but unlike the green light on the Dyson Fluffycones, don't really spotlight dust to be cleaned.

Ease of use
The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is an easy vacuum to use. Itâs basically one button to turn it on, and if you leave it in AI mode, thatâs all you need to press.
The main Active Dual Brush head pivots easily, letting you navigate around your home pretty easily for the most part, though as I mentioned above, on some carpets it feels like it gets stuck.
Despite being described as an auto-empty station, I couldnât find a way to make the base actually empty the vacuum when you pop it in the dock. Instead, you have to hit a button to activate the empty cycle. Itâs not difficult, but I do wish that the vacuum emptied when you put it on the dock.
The 2 L dust bags should last for about three months between replacement, depending on how dirty your home gets, and are easy to replace. The cover on the base unit can be a little fiddly to get back on, but feels secure when attached.

Power and battery
Samsung claims up to 100 minutes of battery life for the supplied battery, but that figure is based on low suction power and a non-motorised attachment.
In reality, youâll get somewhere between 30â40 minutes of battery to clean your home on AI mode, though that will change depending on how much carpet you have and how hard it needs to suck.
Fortunately, the vacuumâs display shows you very clearly how much battery you have left, so you donât run out unexpectedly.
Charging from flat to full isnât too quick. Samsung claims 300 minutes, which feels about right. For what itâs worth, I could clean my three-bedroom home on AI mode on a single charge, but doing a deeper clean of my rug, for example, drained the battery pretty quickly.

Verdict
While Samsungâs marketing focuses on the 400 W of suction power, thatâs not the reason to consider this vacuum. For a start, you only get that level of suction on the Jet setting, which will only give you about 14 minutes before the battery dies.
More impressive is the package as a whole. Itâs an expensive stick vacuum at $1,699, but you get one of the better-looking base stations on the market, a dedicated pet tool, a slimline hard floor brush and a spray spinning mop head, and the standard Active Dual Brush.
As a vacuum, the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra does what it needs to. It has the capacity to clean your home well, though to achieve it, you may need to move from AI mode.
Buy the Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra stick vacuum if you:
- Want a powerful stick vacuum with attachments to clean any floor type
 - Value style in your cleaning appliances, or need to store the vacuum outside your laundry
 - Want a vacuum that connects in with your SmartThings smart home ecosystem

Skip the Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra stick vacuum if you:
- Are on a tighter budget
 - Maybe donât have the strength to push the vacuum on low-pile carpets
 - Have a home with only one floor type, as youâll be paying for attachments you wonât use.
