Unboxing the new M4 MacBook Air in Sky Blue
It goes without saying the new MacBook Air is a fantastic laptop. But does the Sky Blue colour hold up?

Yesterday the embargo lifted on reviews of the new Apple MacBook Air, and while I will publish my thoughts here on BTTR eventually, my first review went live over at News.com.au.
I did manage to publish my unboxing video to all the typical social places, though, and wanted to share them here as well.
I also wanted to take a minute to talk about the new Sky Blue colour Apple introduced with this year's MacBook Air.
It's remarkably subtle. I find myself looking at it, thinking to myself that "no, it's not blue at all". Then the light shimmers across it and you can see the blue clear as day.
I have no idea how much work went into developing the Sky Blue colour. But up against the standard Starlight and Silver models, it really does stand apart.
My fear from the announcement was that it would be more blue than metallic, returning to the days of bold colour choices like the iPod nano. But the Sky Blue here is much more sophisticated.
Which is good, because there's not a lot of other features to tell this year apart from previous generations.
Consistency is key, I guess, but I really would have loved it if Apple stuck a USB-C port on the right hand side of the laptop.
Anyway, head to News for the full review, or hold tight until I write another version here...
