Apple sent out invites to its "Awe-dropping" September event this week, which means we're getting set for the pointy end of the year where iPhones and Pixels and Galaxies collide. To prove my point, Samsung followed with invites to its own event, while embargoes lifted on reviews of the latest Pixel phones.
The next few months are set to be full of bold claims and dramatic headlines as brands try to capture your attention (and money) in the lead-up to sale season and Christmas.
