When did you last upgrade your home Wi-Fi? eero's new Wi-Fi 7 could help you with better Wi-Fi speeds
Amazon's latest eero routers promise Wi-Fi 7 connections to speed up your Wi-Fi, without a lot of complication.

Back when I first started writing about technology, the biggest problem with an internet connection was the network. Trying to get fast internet over ADSL in the time before the NBN was a nightmare.
These days though, you're more likely to have issues with your home's router. Without a doubt, if you're having internet connectivity issues, think about upgrading to a mesh system.
Amazon's eero brand has just released its latest Wi-Fi routers. the eero 7 delivers multi-gigabit speeds, while the eero Pro 7 takes things up a notch for networks that need a little bit extra.
For most people, the eero 7 will be plenty. It's a dual-band router, working on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. According to Amazon, it can deliver 1.8 Gbps wireless speeds, and wired speeds up to 2.3Gbps.
What's more, the eero 7 comes in a compact form factor without ugly external aerials, so you can place multiple units discreetly around your home for a superior connection. A single unit is enough coverage for 190 square metres, but three units give you 560 square metres of fast internet for your devices.

The eero Pro 7 is probably overkill, but it's still cool. It can support connection of hundreds of devices, with a tri-band system supporting 2.4, 5 and 6GHz frequencies. It can deliver wireless speeds up to 3.9Gbps and 2.7Gbps over a wired connection.
The eero Pro 7 is pretty slick looking as well, though it's significantly larger. It boasts a fan-less design that runs silent and limits dust build up. It offers the same range as the eero 7, but can support a lot more devices.
Being eero routers, both models work with eero's mobile app for easy setup, network management and sharing network details with friends. You get WPA3 security, automatic over the air firmware updates and a three year warranty.
The routers also double as smart home hubs, supporting Matter, Threads and Zigbee protocols.
Pricing and availability
The eero 7 device is available now for $299.99 for a single unit and $649.99 for a three pack.
The eero Pro 7 device is available now for $529.99 for a single unit and $1,199.99 for three.
Both are available through Amazon, obviously, but can also be grabbed at JB Hi-Fi or Officeworks.
Amazon also has an eero Plus subscription service, which adds a bunch of extra parental controls and security features, and costs $159.99/year or $15.99/month.
