My last attempt at cooking pizzas in an outdoor oven wasn't overly successful. The Ninja Woodfire Oven is an impressive outdoor appliance, but it's bulk and door can make it a little challenging to place and remove a pizza.
Gozney knows more about making pizza than I ever will, and has just announced its latest addition to its gas-powered pizza range.
The Arc Lite is a compact extension of the popular Gozney Arc series, specifically designed for those with limited outdoor space.
Whether you are working with a small apartment balcony or a rooftop terrace, this oven aims to deliver professional-grade results without the footprint of a permanent installation.
Despite its smaller stature, it still manages a top temperature of 500ΒΊC, which is apparently the magic number for achieving a proper Neapolitan-style crust.
It uses Gozneyβs signature lateral rolling flame, which mimics the environment of a traditional wood-fired oven by arcing heat over the top of the pizza.
At just 12kg, the Arc Lite is significantly more portable than its larger siblings, making it easier to move between storage and your cooking area.
Gozney has also prioritised ease of use with a simplified gas connection and a front-facing control dial for managing the flame.
"Everyone deserves to experience cooking with real fire. Thatβs where Arc Lite comes in," said Tom Gozney, Founder and CEO of Gozney.
"Itβs compact, powerful, and easy to use. You can place it on a balcony or take it to your mateβs, and it still kicks out the same flame and heat as our bigger ovens," he said.
The oven features a fully insulated body to maintain steady performance even in breezy outdoor environments.
It is finished in an "Off Black" colourway, keeping with the sleek, modern aesthetic the brand has become known for.
