Motorola has been one of the big names in folding phones for the past few years, but it's been exclusively in the clamshell design.
At CES, the company first unveiled the RAZR Fold, but at Mobile World Congress this week, Motorola revealed even more details about the upcoming flagship.
The Razr Fold: A new direction for Motorola
The Motorola Razr Fold represents a significant pivot for the brand. While the company has mastered the compact "flip" form factor with its previous Razr 50 Ultra, this is its first attempt at a larger, book-style foldable.
It is designed for those who want a tablet-sized experience that can still slip into a pocket.
The device features a 6.6-inch external display that is large enough to handle most tasks without needing to open the phone.
Once unfolded, you are met with an 8.1-inch 2K LTPO display. This internal screen supports the new Moto Pen Ultra stylus, allowing users to treat the device as a digital notebook for sketching or taking notes during meetings.
Edge 70 Fusion and the 50-hour battery
Beyond the foldables, Motorola is doubling down on battery life with the Edge 70 Fusion.
While many flagship phones struggle to last a full day under heavy use, Motorola has crammed a massive 7,000mAh battery into this model. The company claims this will provide up to 50 hours of use on a single charge.
It is not just about endurance, though. The Edge 70 Fusion includes a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 main sensor which uses the new Moto AI to improve low-light photography and colour accuracy. The design is equally modern, featuring a quad-curved body and a soft-touch finish inspired by fabric textures.

New Moto Buds with Bose tuning
The audio side of the business is also getting an upgrade with the Moto Buds 2 and Moto Buds 2 Plus.
The Plus model features "Sound by Bose" technology and 11mm dynamic drivers. These earbuds are built for noisy environments, using CrystalTalk AI to filter out background noise during calls and providing up to 40 hours of total battery life with the case.
The standard Moto Buds 2 offer a more budget-friendly alternative with dual drivers and a slightly longer 48-hour total battery life. Both models aim to provide a seamless connection within the Motorola ecosystem, especially for those moving between the new Razr and Edge devices.
Pricing and availability
Motorola Australia has confirmed that these devices are headed to our shores, though specific local pricing is still being finalised. Global rollout begins this month, so hopefully we won't have to wait too long for Australian release details to be announced.
