A long year after it was first announced at IFA 2024, Ninja has finally brought its first coffee machine, the Luxe Café, to Australia.
Coffee machines are a competitive market, and Ninja is a brand that likes to innovate with its products, so it's hardly a surprise that the Luxe Café isn't just an espresso machine.
Instead, it's a 3-in-1 system that combines espresso, cold brew, and filter coffee into one machine. It's like the coffee equivalent of the Ninja Combi 14-in-1 appliance – one benchtop device that does multiple jobs.
The Luxe Café packs in some a huge list of features for its price. There's a built-in 25-setting conical burr grinder, an integrated scale for weight-based dosing, and what Ninja calls "Barista Assist Technology" that monitors your extractions and suggests grind size adjustments to prevent sour or bitter results.
For espresso, you can pull single, double or quad shots, with an assisted tamper that compresses grounds evenly for consistent results. Cold brew fans get two options: traditional cold brew or a cold-pressed espresso mode that uses lower temperature and pressure for a smoother extraction. Filter coffee comes in three styles – classic, rich, or over ice – across seven different sizes.
The frothing system is hands-free, combining steaming and whisking simultaneously with four presets: steamed milk, silky microfoam, thick froth, and cold foam. Ninja says it works with both dairy and plant-based milk.
Pricing and availability
The Ninja Luxe Café is available now for $999.99.
The machine comes in four finishes: Stainless Steel, Midnight Black, Gunmetal and Cyberspace. There's also integrated storage for the tamper, funnel, baskets, brush and cleaning disc, which should help keep your benchtop tidy.
