When my (now) wife and I first moved out together, we bought a Philips food processor because it also came with a blender attachment. (Funnily enough, even though the blender attachment died a few years ago – and was replaced by the KitchenAid K400 – the food processor is still going strong!)
Ninja's latest blender reminds me a lot of my old Philips unit, except dialled up to 11 in the usual way Ninja tends to innovate with its appliances.
For the Stealth IQ Kitchen System, the biggest innovation is the stealth mode, which promises to drastically reduce the noise of your blending by adding a noise reduction cover over the main blender.
If you've ever wanted a smoothie at 6 am while the kids (or your partner) are still asleep, you'll appreciate this. The StealthShield technology promises to keep things peaceful enough that you can blend at any hour without feeling guilty about it.
Ninja has also made the Stealth IQ smart. The BlendSense Technology automatically detects what you're blending and adjusts the speed, power, and time accordingly. No more guessing whether you need to pulse or blend, or stopping to check if your smoothie is actually smooth. The system figures it out for you.
The unit is powered by a Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) motor that delivers high torque at lower speeds. What this means in practice is that it can power through tough ingredients without straining itself.
The system comes with a 2.1 L jug for your standard blending needs, plus a 1.8L food processor bowl with all the attachments you'd expect, including the chopping blade, dough blade, and a reversible slicing/shredding disc. There's also a feed chute with a pusher for safely adding ingredients while you're processing.
If you're into single-serve smoothies, Ninja has thrown in three 700 ml cups with spout lids and Hybrid Edge blades as well.
You've got 10 variable speed settings to play with, plus pulse and one-touch preset programmes for different tasks. And when you're done making a mess, everything that needs cleaning – the BPA-free containers, lids, and blades – can go straight into the top rack of your dishwasher.

The Ninja Stealth IQ Kitchen System Power Blender + Processor Pro is available now from ninjakitchen.com.au and leading retailers for an RRP of $499.99.
I should be getting hands on with this blender in the not too distant future, so it should be interesting to see if it makes the list of best blenders in Australia.
