The last Samsung stick vacuum I tested was a beast, with 400 W of suction power and an abundance of attachments. But the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra's high price tag meant it wasn't really accessible for many Aussie homes.

The company's latest vacuum, the Jet 95S, promises a lower price tag, with many of the same key features of the flagship.

Samsung’s research suggests nearly half of us are now cleaning daily to reduce stress and keep the home manageable. The Jet 95S is designed for those of us who find ourselves "chore-snacking", or doing small, frequent cleans rather than one massive weekend session.

The Jet 95S delivers 280W of suction power. That is a significant 33% increase over the older Jet 95, providing enough grunt for deep carpet cleans without needing to jump up to the flagship price point.

One of the more practical additions is the Smart Motion Cleaning mode. The vacuum detects when you’ve leaned it against a wall or set it down, automatically pausing the motor and then restarting the second you pick it back up.

"The Jet 95S is designed to be a reliable household companion that is always at the ready for busy Australians to grab for a quick clean," said Rachel Carter, Head of Home Appliances at Samsung Australia.

The vacuum also includes a Smart Boost mode. This allows the motor to detect when you’ve moved from hard floors to carpet, automatically ramping up the power to pull dust from the pile without you having to fiddle with settings.

Under the hood, Samsung has prioritised air quality with a HEPA filtration system. This is designed to trap 99.99% of fine dust particles, which is a win for local allergy sufferers.

For those with shedding pets, the Jet Dual brush+ includes a built-in steel scraper. This helps to organise and remove tangled hair from the brush head automatically, reducing the amount of time you spend manually picking hair out of the rollers.

The battery is rated for up to 60 minutes of runtime, which is plenty for the average Australian home. It also comes with a freestanding dock, which is a welcome change from having to drill holes in the wall for a charging bracket.

Pricing and availability

The Samsung Jet 95S is available today for an RRP of $799.

You can find the new model at the Samsung online store and leading Australian retailers, including JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman.
