Samsung's new Bespoke AI appliances have arrived, with new smart fridges and the powerful AI Jet Ultra vacuum
Screens everywhere, and the ability to see notifications on your vacuum. This may not end well.
This week Samsung has launched its 2025 lineup of Bespoke AI appliances and I have to say, I'm torn about the whole thing.
Looking at the specs, there's a lot to like. The new lineup includes the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra stick vacuum, plus two new fridges: the 809L Bespoke AI Family Hub french door fridge, and the 615L AI Home side-by-side model.
The vacuum, in particular, looks like a powerhouse. It offers 400W of suction power thanks to its unique HexaJet motor, with up to 100 minutes of battery life at the lowest suction setting.
The vacuum's AI capabilities sense the brush load and air pressure to automatically classify six different cleaning environments, automatically adjusting the suction power and brush speed for the best performance.
It uses a multi-layered filtration system to trap fine dust for an 99.999% filtration efficiency rate.
Which all sounds cool, right? But Samsung didn't stop there - the new vacuum has a screen on board, which displays things like battery life and cleaning mode, as well as displaying calls and notifications from your phone.
Why would anyone want that? I have no idea. I don't think there's a single situation where I would want to receive a call notification on their vacuum. It seems like a stretch, an attempt to shoehorn something new into a device that doesn't need it.
Communication functions also appear on the two new fridges, thanks to the included screens. The smaller 615L model has a 9-inch AU home screen that lets you manage smart devices across your home and access apps.
The 809L model boasts a 32-inch screen and an internal camera that can recognise 33 different food types to help with food management and meal recommendations.
Both models can help track energy usage of smart appliances across your home, as well as managing smart devices.
Pricing and availability
The new Bespoke fridges are available now through Samsung, and selected retailers, with the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra stick vacuum arriving later this month. Pricing and details below:
