The moto g35 5G is a cool $80 cheaper than the previous model
Cutting RRP and improving specs? In this economy? Motorola's latest budget phone won't set the world on fire, but it has a lot to offer.

The moto g34 was a pretty decent smartphone that was let down only by its proximity to better phones for almost the same price.
In my review of the g34, I said, "Motorola's Moto g34 5G does a reasonable job as a budget phone, but for an extra $20 you can get the much, much better g54 5G model, making this hard to recommend."
For the g35, Motorola has made the price difference more noticeable, carving $80 from the RRP for the newer model so it comes in at just $199. But it also boosted the phone's specs.
The new phone is built around a 6.7” FHD+ display with HDR10 support and surround by Dolby Atmos certified speakers.
It's powered by an 8-core UNISOC T760 processor and 4GB of RAM, with up to 12GB RAM boost and support for up to 1TB of storage via the microSD card slot.
The g35 supports 18W fast charging of its 5,000 mAh battery via USB-C. There's a side fingerprint scanner and the ability to unlock with your face.
The phone will ship with Android 14, and comes with support for one major OS update and three years of bi-monthly security updates.
The camera array looks similar to other Moto g-series devices, with a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide lens.
Pricing and availability
