The new Thermos Icon Series is designed to keep your food and drinks at the right temperature for longer

For a few years, my kids ate nothing but sandwiches at school. It was what I grew up eating everyday, after all, so why should they need anything different?

Then, my daughter brought home a Thermos Food Jar from my mother-in-laws place. And suddenly school lunches were a completely different ballgame. We picked up a second one for my son, during a sale and now the kids get a nice hot lunch at least once a week.

But the Food Jar is just one product in Thermos' long lineup of insulated products. The company has just released its updated Icon Series of products, which adds a range of modern colours, "Griptec" non-slip bases and other thoughtful additions to the lineup.

Thermos's products all use a vacuum insulation technology and ultra-durable stainless steel to keep your drinks and food hot or cold, depending on your preference.

While there are dedicated powered products to keep your drinks hot, like the Ember travel mug 2+, sometimes all you need is a good insulated product. I was a big fan of the Ninja Thirsti, but I think Thermos's wider range is a definite advantage here.
