While Tineco's flagship Floor One S9 Artist Pro is easily the best model I've tested from the company, that doesn't mean Tineco is done innovating. Today the company has announced it's extending its range of models that can lay flat to help you clean underneath your furniture.
Among the lineup of new "Stretch" models are the Floor One S7 Stretch, The Floor One S7 Stretch Deluxe, the iFloor U5 Stretch and the Floor One S6 Stretch Pro.
The new models can lay flat while cleaning, with the head unit just 13cm tall, allowing it to pass underneath some pretty low-lying furniture.
At the heart of these new models is the vacuum's ability to achieve a full 180-degree lay-flat design. Tineco says that the cleaner maintains full suction power even when the unit is completely horizontal, which interestingly wasn't the case with the S9 Artist Pro.
The flagship S7 Stretch models pack 21kPa of suction power and an extended 50-minute runtime, which should be enough to tackle whole-house cleaning on a single charge.
Like every other Tineco cleaner I've reviewed, the units feature three cleaning modes: Auto for everyday cleaning, Max for stubborn stains, and a dedicated Suction mode for liquid spills and wet messes.
And in case you were wondering, the only real difference between the S7 Stretch and the S7 Stretch Deluxe is the colour β deep blue for the Deluxe, and Black for the S7 Stretch.
Upgraded self-cleaning and anti-tangle
Tineco has brought its upgraded FlashDry technology to the lineup. This self-cleaning system activates at the touch of a button, using heated fresh water at 85Β°C to dissolve stains and deep-clean everything from the internal pipes to the brush roller. The entire cleaning cycle completes in just five minutes, with the brush rotating in both directions to ensure it's left fluffier and odour-free.
All models in the Stretch series also feature Tineco's DualBlock Anti-Tangle Design, which uses an innovative scraper and front hair comb to prevent hair from wrapping around the brush head.
The units also feature dual-sided edge cleaning (or enhanced edge cleaning on the U5 model), ensuring baseboards and skirting boards get proper attention rather than leaving the telltale strip of debris that many vacuums miss.
