Maybe it’s just me, but smart rings just make sense as an idea to me. Well, aside from one big drawback.
Subtle and indiscreet, smart rings can keep tabs on your health without a bulky body or uncomfortable weight. But their miniature size means battery life is always limited. Typically you’ll get a few days before the ring needs to be charged again.
The new Ultrahuman Ring PRO pushes battery life far beyond the norm, up to a huge 15 days.
The Ring PRO is the company's third-generation wearable designed for those who want to track their health without the constant need for a charger. It builds on the Ring Air, which launched in Australia back in April last year.
While the standard Turbo mode offers about 12 days of battery, switching to Chill mode extends the device's stamina to over 15 days.
The ring is built with a titanium unibody architecture for long-term durability and comes in four distinct finishes: Bionic Gold, Space Silver, Aster Black, and Raw Titanium. It also introduces ProRelease technology, a safety feature that allows the ring to be cut apart more easily in the event of an injury or finger swelling.

Real-time intelligence with Jade
The hardware launch is accompanied by the debut of Jade, which Ultrahuman describes as the world's first real-time bio-intelligence AI.
Unlike standard AI tools that simply summarise historical data, Jade can supposedly provide actionable interventions in real-time, such as triggering Afib detection or suggesting breathwork.
CEO Mohit Kumar explained that the combination of battery life and AI is a major shift for the category.
"Ring Pro's battery life is 3 to 4 times that of the competition. It's a fundamental breakthrough," Kumar said, “With industry-leading hardware paired with Jade bio-intelligence AI, users can now take real-time actionable interventions towards their health than ever before.”
A dedicated charging case
To support the ring's performance, the new PRO Charging Case provides an additional 45 days of battery life for charging on the go. It uses a magnetic UltraSnap system to ensure a secure connection and generates less heat than traditional wireless charging.
The case also includes a built-in speaker and smart proximity guidance, allowing you to find the case quickly through the mobile app if it goes missing. The case also acts as a data bridge, capable of storing up to one year of health information.
Customisable health with PowerPlugs
Ultrahuman is expanding its PowerPlugs ecosystem, offering modular apps that allow users to tailor their tracking to specific needs. Recent additions include tools for tracking the effects of GLP-1 medications, snoring analysis, and migraine management insights.
The ring also features a redesigned heart-rate sensing architecture and an upgraded dual-core processor to ensure data is processed quickly and accurately on-device.
Pricing and availability
The Ultrahuman Ring PRO is available to preorder now, with delivery beginning later in March. It has an RRP of $739.
