One of the biggest challenges of being the sole-operator of a product review site is that you can't always test everything when it first launches.
But that doesn't mean you shouldn't still test it when the opportunity arises. I've just received the Sennheiser ACCENTUM Plus wireless headphones to review, despite the fact they launched about a year ago.
Still, if first impressions count for anything – and they do – I'm confident these over-ear headphones are destined for my best headphones roundup.
For a start, they offer 50 hours of music playback off a single charge. They are super lightweight at 277 grams, and the earcups fold both ways, so you can rest the soft, cushioned side on your shoulder blades, (unlike the Sonos Ace).
Powered by 37 mm drivers, the ACCENTUM Plus Wireless sits in the mid-range for Sennheiser, with an RRP of $399.95.
I'm not 100% sure how I feel about the touch controls – in the past my experience has been that headphone touch controls don't really work as well as physical buttons. But I'm keen to try it out to see how well Sennheiser nailed the experience.
With Active Noise Cancellation and pass-through mode, plus automatic anti-wind mode and the ability to personalise your sound experience through a companion app, I'm really looking forward to testing these headphones out.
