Acer launched a bunch of products at IFA. Here's what's coming to Australia
At IFA in Berlin, Acer has unveiled its latest laptops. Here are the models coming to Australia.
IFA doesn't have quite the same reputation as CES – maybe that's because it's in Berlin instead of Las Vegas. But I actually find that a lot more interesting stuff comes out of IFA these days.
Acer has gotten in early with its announcements, unveiling a new range of laptops, desktops and monitors. Here's what's coming to Australia:
Predator: Extreme gaming performance
The new Predator Orion 7000 (PO7-667) desktop computer is Acer's latest high-performance machine. It's designed for those serious gamers, content creators, and professionals amongst you.
Under the hood you'll get up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 285K, which includes a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for handling AI workloads.
The desktop also features up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU to support AI-enhanced features. The CycloneX 360 cooling system has a 360mm radiator and a pump that operates at 3400 RPM for efficient heat dissipation.
The desktop is designed with a customisable ARGB lighting system and a case that allows for easy upgrades.
The Predator Orion 7000 is expected to be launch in Australia in the first quarter of 2026, with a starting price of around $8,199.
Nitro: For easy gaming
Acer is expanding its Nitro gaming lineup with the new Nitro V 16S (ANV16S-71) laptop.
Slim and portable, it's designed for gamers who need a balance of performance and mobility. The device features a metal chassis that is less than 19.9 mm thin and includes a 4-zone RGB keyboard.
The Nitro V 16S is powered by up to an Intel Core 7 processor 240H and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU.
It comes with a WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution display with a 180 Hz refresh rate, and NitroSense software for performance monitoring and fan speed control.
The Acer Nitro V 16S is set to arrive in September exclusively at Harvey Norman, and will start at $2,599
Acer also announced two new Nitro series monitors.
The Nitro XV270X is a 27-inch IPS panel monitor that offers up to 5K resolution (5120 x 2880) and a 72 Hz refresh rate. It features a 2,000:1 native contrast ratio, 1 ms response time, a 95% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and includes two 2W speakers.
The Nitro XZ403CKR is a larger 39.7-inch curved VA panel monitor with a 1000R curvature. It has a 5K WUHD (5120 x 2160) resolution and a 180 Hz refresh rate, or 288 Hz in WFHD resolution with Dynamic Frequency Resolution (DFR). It supports AMD FreeSync Premium and has powerful 5W speakers and plenty of ports.
Both monitors should arrive in Q1 2026, with the Nitro XV270X starting at $1,499, and the Nitro XZ403CKR starting at $1,899.
TravelMate for productivity
The Acer TravelMate X4 14 AI (TMX414-51) is a lightweight CoPilot+ business laptop designed for SMBs and mobile professionals. Running the show is up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor 258V, with up to 32 GB of memory and up to 1 TB of storage. It weighs just 1.27 kg and is 15.9 mm thin, while also meeting MIL-STD 810H durability standards.
The laptop has a 14-inch 16:10 WUXGA display, with an optional OLED panel that provides 500 nits of peak brightness and includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB 3.2 Type-A port, a USB 2.0 Type-A port, an HDMI 2.1 slot, and a Gigabit Ethernet port.
Launch timeframe for Australia is yet to be announced, but it will start at $2,499.
Acer Vero projectors
Acer is also launching a pair of new mercury-free laser projectors: the Vero XL2521 and the Vero SL2520n. These projectors promise lifespans of up to 30,000 hours and a 40% lower power consumption compared to traditional lamp-based models. Both models are made with 50% post-consumer recycled plastic and come in 100% recyclable packaging.
Both projectors have up to Full HD resolution and 4,000 ANSI lumens brightness, a 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.
They also include 15W built-in speakers and have an IP6X dustproof rating.
The main difference between the two are that the Vero XL2521 is a standard projector, while the Vero SL2520n is a short-throw projector, producing a 100-inch image from just 1.1 meters away.
Both models will be available in Australia in Q4 2025. The Acer Vero XL2521 will start at $1,499, and the Vero SL2520n will start at $1,999.
