We're almost a third of the way through Spring, and the weather is starting to get nice. That means it's time to start thinking about getting away for a nice spot of camping. Anker has just launched the SOLIX Everfrost 2 to make your camping trips even more comfortable by keeping your food and drinks cold for up to 4.3 days on a single charge.
Like the EcoFlow GLACIER that was announced earlier this month, the (58L) Everfrost 2 offers dual-zone modes, so you can simultaneously chill and freeze your food and drinks.
It comes in two capacities: a 40-litre version and a 58-litre model, with the smaller version having a slightly longer battery life. But both models can be easily charged via an AC powerpoint, a 12V car socket, USB-C, or a 100W solar input.
Anker's FrostFlow 360° air-cooling technology eliminates all the challenges of needing ice on a camping trip entirely, maximising storage space while keeping everything dry.
The cooling performance sounds impressive, with both models able to drop from 25°C to freezing in around 15 minutes, with the 40L model achieving this in 18 minutes on Eco mode and the larger 58L managing it in just 13 minutes when running a single zone on Max mode.
Built for Australian conditions
Anker has clearly designed this cooler with harsh Australian summers in mind. The Everfrost 2 features IPX3 weather resistance and is built sturdy enough to roll across sand or gravel thanks to its six-inch wheels and suitcase-style handle. The temperature range of -20°C to 20°C means it can handle everything from freezing ice cream to keeping drinks pleasantly cool.
The main consideration will be weight – at 25.5kg for the 40L model and up to 33.9kg for the fully loaded 58L version, these aren't exactly lightweight solutions. However, the wheels and handle design should make transport manageable for most users.
The dual-battery system using 288Wh LFP (lithium iron phosphate) batteries is particularly clever. Not only do these batteries provide the impressive runtime figures, but they can also be detached and used as power banks, offering 60W USB-C and 12W USB-A outputs for charging devices.
Like many modern appliances, the Everfrost 2 can be controlled via the Anker app, allowing you to adjust temperature settings remotely. This is particularly useful for the 58L model's dual-zone capability, where you can set different temperatures for each compartment.
The solar charging capability is a nice touch for extended camping trips. While the 100W solar input won't fully power the cooler during peak summer use, it can significantly extend runtime and potentially provide enough juice for lighter cooling duties during shoulder seasons.
Price and availability
Anker is launching the Everfrost 2 with aggressive pricing during the launch period from September 25 to October 13, 2025. The 40L model drops from an RRP of $1,799 to $1,099, while the 58L version falls from $2,099 to $1,399.
This pricing puts it in direct competition with EcoFlow's recently launched GLACIER Classic, which ranges from A$1,049 for the 35L model up to A$1,289 for the 55L during the early bird period. The Everfrost 2 appears to offer better value at launch pricing, though the regular pricing is more expensive than EcoFlow's offering.
The Everfrost 2 is available now through Anker SOLIX Australia with launch pricing available until October 13, 2025.
