ASUS goes all-in on AI PCs for 2026 with dual-screen laptops and GoPro partnership

ASUS has unveiled its updated laptop range for the year at CES, and perhaps unexpectedly, there's a big focus on AI.

The most interesting announcement is probably the ProArt GoPro Edition (PX13), a limited-edition 13-inch convertible laptop that ASUS has designed in partnership with GoPro. It's got a rugged, GoPro-inspired design with blue-accented keyboard backlighting, and comes with built-in GoPro Cloud access through a new app called StoryCube.

StoryCube is interesting. It's the first Windows app to integrate GoPro Cloud media and 360Β° video support. The app uses AI to automatically categorise your footage by activity (surfing, biking, snowboarding), making it easier to organise all those adventure clips cluttering up your cloud storage. Each unit also includes a 12-month GoPro Premium+ subscription.

Under the hood, the ProArt GoPro Edition runs on an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor with up to 128GB of unified memory, which should handle video editing pretty comfortably.

Dual screens are back

ASUS has updated the dual-screen ZenBook Duo laptop concept, featuring two 14-inch 3K OLED displays in a full Ceraluminum chassis.

ASUS has improved the hideaway hinge to reduce the gap between the screens, and it now packs a 99Wh dual-battery system for extended runtime.

Powered by Intel's Core Ultra X9 Series 3 processor, it's designed for people who genuinely need multiple screens on the go. I'm still not entirely convinced that dual-screen laptops are the future, but ASUS seems committed to the idea.

Snapdragon everywhere

One of the more significant moves is ASUS pushing Snapdragon X2 Elite processors across multiple form factors. The Zenbook A16 is the first laptop to feature the Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme processor, delivering all that power in a sub-1.2kg chassis with a 16-inch 3K OLED display.

There's also the ProArt PZ14, an ultralight 0.79kg detachable tablet powered by the 18-core Snapdragon X2 Elite. It's positioned as a creator tablet, with ASUS Pen 3.0 support and a 14-inch OLED display.

And in what ASUS is calling a world-first, the company has announced the VM441QA all-in-one PC, the first Snapdragon-powered AiO. It combines next-gen efficiency with what ASUS describes as an elegant design for home computing.

The usual refreshes

Beyond the headline products, ASUS has refreshed its Zenbook S series with the latest AMD Ryzen AI 400 Series or Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. The lineup includes the Zenbook S14 and S16, both featuring up to 3K OLED displays and new nature-inspired finishes.

The Vivobook S series gets similar treatment, with 14-inch and 16-inch models bringing AI-driven performance to more budget-conscious users. These include the latest AMD, Intel, and Qualcomm processors, along with all the Copilot+ features.

Pricing and availability

ASUS hasn't confirmed Australian pricing or exact availability dates yet, but if previous years are any indication, we should see these models trickling into local retailers over the coming months.
