Premium robot vacuums are launching faster than I can keep up, and they all look impressive on paper.
Roborock's latest addition is the Qrevo Edge 2 Pro, which uses 100ºC hot water to clean the vacuum's mop pads, so you know things are nice and clean.
Beyond the high-temperature washing, the Edge 2 Pro is designed to tackle the dust and allergens that hide in hard-to-reach places.
It features an ultra-slim 7.98cm profile, made possible by a retractable LiDAR system that tucks away when the robot needs to slide under low-clearance furniture like sofas and beds.
The hygiene focus extends to the Multifunctional Dock 3.0, which doesn't just wash the pads at 100°C, but also uses the same high-temperature water to clean the dock base itself. This is followed by a 55°C warm air drying cycle to prevent the growth of bacteria and unpleasant odours.
When it comes to raw power, the Edge 2 Pro delivers a massive 25,000Pa of suction, which is a significant jump over previous models.
To manage the inevitable hair tangles in Australian homes with pets, it employs a DuoDivide main brush and a FlexiArm side brush designed to guide hair directly into the suction inlet.
The robot is also remarkably capable of navigating around a busy home. Its AdaptiLift Chassis allows it to scale thresholds and obstacles up to 4cm high, which is handy for moving between different floor types or over thick rugs. Not quite as high as the Dreame Aqua10's 6cm lift, but still solid.
The Reactive AI system can also recognise over 200 types of common household objects, meaning you won't have to tidy up cables or shoes before a cleaning run.
Pricing and availability
The Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Pro has an RRP of $2,799. It will be available in Australia from February 17, 2026, and you can find it through the Roborock official online store and selected retail partners.
