While Samsung always kicks off the year with its flagship S series devices, it also tends to fast follow with its mid-range A series phones.
The good news is that this year's A-series devices have a bunch of solid upgrades over 2025's A56 and A36 models.
The big step up Samsung is talking about this year is a heavy focus on artificial intelligence, designed to make everyday tasks much simpler.
We are finally seeing Samsung's advanced AI features trickle down to a more accessible price point for everyday consumers.
This means buyers gain access to handy tools like Voice Transcription for easily converting meeting recordings to text, and Circle to Search with Google for instant visual lookups.
Photo editing also gets a massive boost thanks to this deeper AI integration.
Features like Object Eraser let you seamlessly remove photobombers from your background, while the A57 model includes Best Face to help you salvage group shots where someone inevitably blinked.
“The new Galaxy A series reflects our continued commitment to AI democratisation by bringing the latest innovations to more Galaxy users,” said TM Roh, Chief Executive Officer at Samsung Electronics.
On the camera front, both devices are equipped with a versatile triple-lens setup anchored by a high-resolution 50MP main sensor.
Behind that 50MP main sensor, both phones feature a versatile triple-camera array to handle different shooting scenarios. On the Galaxy A57 5G, you get a 12MP ultra-wide lens (F2.2) for capturing broader landscapes and group shots, while the Galaxy A37 5G uses an 8MP ultra-wide sensor (F2.2).
Both devices include a 5MP macro lens (F2.4) specifically designed for close-up photography, allowing you to pick up fine details on smaller subjects. For those focused on video calls and social media, both models are equipped with a 12MP front-facing camera (F2.2) to ensure selfies remain sharp and well-lit.
Samsung has improved the low-light processing on the phones, meaning you can capture clearer and more colourful photos when you are out at night.
Both phones feature expansive 6.7-inch Super AMOLED displays with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring scrolling and streaming feel incredibly fluid.
To keep you powered through heavy usage, you get a hefty 5000mAh battery that Samsung claims will easily last up to two days.
Durability is another major win, with both models boasting an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
Finally, Samsung is promising up to six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
This level of long-term support is a massive bonus for anyone looking to hold onto their device for years to come without worrying about outdated software.
