Let's break down Sony's 2025 home theatre lineup
Sony has a range of speakers, TVs and projectors to entertain you this year with its 2025 home theatre lineup. Here's what's coming.

While the Korean TV manufacturers tend to announce their annual lineups right on top of each other, Sony does things at its own pace.
It's 2025 lineup of BRAVIA home theatre products has been announced now, along with Australian pricing and availability, with an ongoing theme of bringing the filmmaker's vision into the home.
Let's take a look at what's on offer:
BRAVIA Projector 7
I remember Sony launching its first 4K projector many, many years ago, and things just keep getting better.
This year, Sony has expanded its projector lineup with the BRAVIA Projector 7 (VPL-XW5100ES), joining the BRAVIA Projector 8.
The projector is powered by the BRAVIA XR Processor, enhancing the picture quality.
The BRAVIA Projector 7 boasts 2,200 lumen brightness, a laser light source, 4K 120fps at 12ms input lag, and compatibility with IMAX Enhanced content.
It also supports home automation solutions and has installation flexibility with features like Corner Keystone correction and lens shift functions.
BRAVIA Theatre Home Audio
The new BRAVIA Theatre home audio products include the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 6 (a 3.1.2 channel soundbar with wireless subwoofer) and the BRAVIA Theatre System 6 (a 5.1 channel home theatre system).
For those looking to expand their audio setup, the BRAVIA Theatre Rear 8 (wireless rear speakers) and the BRAVIA Theatre Sub 7 (wireless subwoofer) are also available.
The BRAVIA Theatre Bar 6 features Dolby Atmos/DTS:X support, Vertical Surround Engine, S-Force PRO Front Surround, and Sony's unique up mixer technology for immersive sound.
It also includes a dedicated center speaker for clear dialogue and Voice Zoom 3, which uses AI to enhance voice clarity.
The BRAVIA Theatre System 6 is a 5.1ch 1000W system with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support, Vertical Surround Engine, S-Force PRO Front Surround, and Voice Zoom 3.
BRAVIA TVs
Sony's 2025 TV lineup includes the BRAVIA 8 II and BRAVIA 5 models.
The BRAVIA 8 II features a Slim One Slate design, XR Processor, QD-OLED panel, XR Triluminos Max, and Acoustic Surface Audio+.
It delivers deep blacks and high contrast for a cinematic experience.
The BRAVIA 5, meanwhile comes in screen sizes up to 98 inches and includes XR Backlight Master Drive for precise local dimming, resulting in stunning contrast.
Both BRAVIA TVs and BRAVIA Theatre home audio products are compatible with IMAX Enhanced and support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
