For a long time, Sony kept its audio brand and its PlayStation gaming brands separate. But with its lineup of INZONE gaming products the lines are a little more blurred.
The company is expanding its INZONE lineup today, leading with the new InZone H6 Air, an open-backed set of headphones that promise high performance.
Open-back headphones are a staple of professional audio because they let sound flow through the housing rather than trapping it, creating a more natural and spacious soundstage. Sony is bringing that same principle to gaming.
The drivers are adapted from the same technology used in Sony's MDR-MV1 open-back studio monitor headphones. Back ducts integrated into the driver deliver deep, controlled bass while keeping mid and low frequencies clearly separated, which matters when you need to pick out footsteps or distant audio cues in-game.
At 199g without the detachable microphone and cable, it's Sony's lightest gaming headset to date. It uses the same spring hinge headband design as the INZONE H9 II, keeping things compact without sacrificing comfort for long sessions.
| Feature | Detail |

Sony developed an "RPG/Adventure" equaliser profile in collaboration with sound designers from PlayStation Studios, tuned to recreate a studio acoustic environment.
To use it, you'll need to connect via the supplied USB-C Audio Box, which also enables virtual 7.1ch surround sound with 360 Spatial Sound for Gaming.
The boom mic uses a cardioid pickup pattern, angled toward your mouth to reduce side noise. The flexible arm holds its position once set.
Sony is also releasing Fnatic Editions of the INZONE Mouse-A, Mat-F and Mat-D, all finished in Fnatic's signature orange. The Mat-F design draws on Fnatic's Valorant team artwork, while the Mat-D goes for a cleaner black-to-orange gradient.

The INZONE Buds, Sony's truly wireless noise-cancelling gaming earbuds, are getting a new translucent Glass Purple colourway. The hardware itself is unchanged; this is a style update that adds a third option alongside the existing black and white.
