Unboxing the DJI Flip, I'm confident this is going to be even better than the Neo
The DJI Flip is a really well designed for portability, while offering a strong performance boost over the DJI Neo. I'm keen to play with this one.

The DJI Flip unit I was sent had been reviewed before, so the unboxing experience isn't what you might get when you buy yourself a fresh one.
But it's a wonderful insight into just how important portability is for DJI's latest drone.
Packed into a carry case, the folded DJI Flip feels about the same size as the Neo. It's maybe a little narrower when folded, but it's still around the same weight, making it ideal for carrying around.
But because of the design, DJI has managed to boost some of the other features here. The battery is a bit bigger, and can run for up to 31 minutes, rather than the 18 minutes of the Neo.
The camera has also had a bit of a specs boost, with a larger 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor that allows for 48MP photos with up to a 4x zoom.
There's a really satisfying feeling to the folding open of the arms, though it's really easy to power on the drone while doing it. Cycling through the different controller-free modes is equally easy as the Neo as well.
I'm going to be taking the Flip for some proper testing over the coming weeks, so make sure you're subscribed so you don't miss the full review.
Given the Neo was one of my favourite products of 2024, I expect the Flip is going to deliver a similar result for 2025.
