ASUS is pitching its latest enterprise-level laptop as the flagship for the entire industry. The ExpertBook Ultra combines a remarkable number of impressive specifications, including a 14-inch 3K Tandem OLED touchscreen with 1,400 nits of peak brightness, a huge 70Wh battery and weighing it at under a kilo.
The chassis is built from aerospace-grade AZ31B magnesium-aluminium alloy, machined to 10.9mm thin, and treated with ASUS' Nano Ceramic Technology for 9H hardness and five times the scratch resistance of the industry standard.
ASUS is also calling it the world's smallest-footprint 14-inch laptop currently on the market.
One thing worth noting upfront: the headline 0.99 kg figure applies to the Polymer OLED (pOLED) configuration. The Tandem OLED variant, with its brighter and more capable display, tips the scales at 1.09 kg. Still remarkably light, but a distinction worth knowing when you're comparing specs across configs.
The thermal engineering is where ASUS makes its boldest claim. Using its ExpertCool Pro system, the ExpertBook Ultra sustains 50W of CPU performance without throttling, even with the lid closed and the machine docked.
The integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics with 12 Xe cores is rated to outperform a dedicated NVIDIA RTX 4050 at 30W TGP by around 35% in 3DMark Time Spy. For an integrated GPU in a sub-1kg chassis, that's impressive.
Storage is via a PCIe Gen 5x4 NVMe SSD rated above 14,000 MB/s sequential reads, roughly double what a Gen 4 drive delivers.
Combined with up to 64GB of LPDDR5x at 9,600 MT/s, it's specced for data-heavy workloads that would bottleneck most ultrabooks.
As a Copilot+ PC, it ships with a dedicated 50 TOPS NPU and up to 180 TOPS of total platform AI performance.
ASUS bundles its MyExpert AI suite, including on-device meeting transcription and a local Knowledge Hub, with no subscription required.
It's a cleaner proposition than cloud-dependent AI features, and it fits with the direction ASUS has been pushing across its entire 2026 AI PC lineup.
ASUS Commercial Regional Director Emma Ou said: "The 0.99 kg weight, the sophisticated Morn Grey finish, and the ability to get 6 hours of productivity from a mere 15-minute charge redefine what it means to travel with power."
For connectivity, the ExpertBook Ultra covers Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, HDMI 2.1 and a combo audio jack.
Security includes NIST SP 800-193 BIOS compliance, a self-healing dual BIOS ROM, discrete TPM 2.0, fingerprint reader, Windows Hello IR and a physical webcam shutter.
