Jabra's cheaper Evolve3 headsets still let you skip the boom mic (or not)

Jabra is rounding out its Evolve3 range with three new headsets built for how people work, from boomless hybrid warriors to open-office callers who need noise cancelling. Here's what's coming, and what it'll cost.

Earlier this year Jabra ditched the boom mic from its range of Evolve3 headsets, but the products definitely sat in the more premium part of the market. Now Jabra is bringing the tech to a more accessible lineup, with three new models for office workers wanting a premium experience without the boom mic.

And if you do want the boom mic? Well, Jabra has options for you too.

The Evolve3 65 Flex, Evolve3 65 and Evolve3 45 slot in below the flagship Evolve3 85 and 75, and they're built around the idea that not everyone works the same way, so not everyone needs the same headset.

The Flex is the boomless one, a foldable design aimed at people who bounce between the office, home and shared workspaces.

The 65 and 45 keep the traditional reversible boom arm, with flip up to mute and flip down to talk, and they're pitched at people who spend most of their day parked at a desk or fighting for focus in a loud open-plan office.

All three share Jabra's ClearVoice tech and in-call ANC, which mutes background noise for whoever's wearing the headset, so calls stay clear even when the office doesn't cooperate. Across the three models, battery life and mic setup are where the differences show up most.

Jabra's push here is partly about AI. With meeting summaries, live transcription and other voice-driven tools becoming standard in workplaces, a clean voice signal matters more than it used to.

Jabra's own research found 73% of employees struggle to hear other participants in hybrid meetings, which is as much a productivity problem as an audio one.

"The way people work has changed dramatically, but many companies are still trying to solve every communication challenge with the same headset," said Calum MacDougall, President at Jabra. "Desk-based callers, open-office professionals and hybrid workers all face different communication demands and design requirements."

All three headsets connect over Bluetooth Low Energy, work with Teams, Zoom and Google Meet, and are built for centralised IT management through Jabra Plus and Jabra Xpress, so this is squarely aimed at business fleets rather than individual buyers browsing shelves.
