Vacuuming your carpet and rugs is good for maintenance cleaning, but every so often you're going to have to get in there and give them a proper wash, particularly if you have pets or kids.
Bissell has just launched a couple of new products to help make that process a little easier.
The CleanView HydroSteam ($799) is the more accessible entry into BISSELL's HydroSteam carpet cleaning range. It uses the same core technology as the Revolution HydroSteam ($999) and combines steam, water and BISSELL's cleaning formula to tackle the kind of embedded dirt and pet mess that a vacuum alone can't shift.
Three dedicated cleaning modes let you tailor each session to the job. Steam Pretreat Mode loosens stubborn stains before a full wash, SteamWash Max Clean Mode handles deep cleaning on carpets, rugs and upholstery, and Quick Dry Mode speeds drying time down to around 30 minutes.
BISSELL claims up to 40% better cleaning on stubborn messes compared to a non-steam mode. Two DirtLifter PowerBrushes, each with 12 rows of bristles, work to pull embedded grime out of carpet fibres.
The machine also comes with a 2-in-1 Pet Upholstery Tool, an 8cm Tough Stain Tool and a 3-in-1 corner and stair attachment, so you can take it well beyond the main floor.
A Rinse and Storage Tray lets you flush the machine after each session, while the one-piece EZ Clean Brush Roll Cover makes it easy to remove and clean the brushes.
Anyone who has owned a carpet washer before (the Tineco Carpet One Pro is a good comparison point) will know how much this matters in day-to-day use.
BISSELL is approaching its 150th year of cleaning innovation, and the CleanView HydroSteam fits into a broader push to make its more advanced technology available at a wider range of price points.
The company has been steadily expanding its Australian lineup, including recent CrossWave additions.
