Fridges don't get enough attention. They're big and bulky, but a good fridge lets you stay on top of your food and drinks for weeks at a time. They typically last for at least a decade, despite running 24/7/365 with very little maintenance.
TCL's latest fridge lineup brings improved energy efficiency to that long term reliability.
The company has just launched its MEGA Refrigerator Series in Australia, a four model range topped by the TRF590QHB, a 590L Quad Door fridge that TCL is calling its most feature-rich to date.
Below the flagship sits the TRF590QB, which packs the same 596L of Quad Door capacity into a seamless design with no external dispenser, for anyone who'd rather their fridge door stay uninterrupted.
The TRF576FHB brings a 575L French door layout aimed at households that entertain often, while the TRF495FHB rounds things out with a slimmer 496L French door footprint for smaller kitchens.
The flagship TRF590QHB adds an integrated fridge-floor storage spot for snacks and delicate items, on top of its Quad Door layout.
It's a small addition, but it means you get another dedicated zone rather than squeezing odd-shaped items onto a shelf they don't fit. There's also a non-plumbed 2.0L water dispenser built in, so you get cold water on tap without calling a plumber to install it. You do need to keep it filled up yourself, though.
Freshness is handled by Metal Cooling and Pure Air filtration working together, which TCL says keeps ingredients at their best for longer while neutralising odours across every compartment.
All four models carry a top-tier 5 Star Energy Rating, powered by TCL's Twin Eco Inverter technology. TCL says the flagship delivers its largest capacity yet without dragging your energy bill along with it.
Then there's the warranty. Every model in the range gets the standard three year manufacturer warranty, plus an additional seven years of parts only cover on the inverter compressor once that expires, for up to 10 years total.
Hawke Zhang, TCL Electronics Australia and New Zealand's Managing Director, said the range was built around what households actually need from a fridge.
"The Mega Refrigerator Series is about giving Australian households more of what actually matters in a fridge, genuine capacity, healthier food storage and energy bills that don't creep up as the fridge gets bigger. The TRF590QHB shows what happens when we bring TCL's full weight behind that, backed by up to 10 years warranty on the compressor for real peace of mind," Zhang said.
TCL has built plenty of momentum in Australia lately, from its expanding 2026 TV lineup to NXTPaper tablets. The MEGA Refrigerator Series is a sign the brand wants a foothold in the kitchen too, not just the lounge room.
