Well, that didn't take long. Ninja launched its compact, portable air fryer the Ninja Crispi back in November, but those eagerly awaiting its pro-grade sequel can now dust of their credit cards, because the Ninja Crispi Pro has arrived in Australia.

The Ninja Crispi Pro 6-in-1 Countertop Glass Air Fryer (AS101ANZ) is a 2050W cooking system built around a modular base that adapts to three sizes of Ninja's CleanCrisp glass containers: 2.3 L, 3.8 L, and 5.7 L.

It ships with both the 5.7L and 2.3L sizes included, so you've got flexibility straight out of the box, whether you're cooking a quick solo meal or scaling up for a crowd.

That 5.7L capacity is a big step up from the original Crispi, which topped out at 3.8L and could handle a 1.2kg chicken. Ninja says that the Crispi Pro can cook a whopping 3.4 kg chicken and feeds up to 10 people, aided by a power bump from 1700W to 2050W.

The cooking modes have expanded too, from four on the original (Air Fry, Roast, Recrisp, Keep Warm) to six on the Pro (Max Crisp, Air Fry, Bake/Prove, Roast, Recrisp, Dehydrate).

Bake/Prove and Dehydrate are the additions most likely to get regular use, and the Pro drops Keep Warm in favour of Max Crisp, which cranks up the heat for a faster, crunchier finish.

The broader design philosophy has shifted too. Where the original Crispi was built for portability and compact living, the Pro is unashamedly a countertop appliance, designed to stay put.

The CleanCrisp glassware is thermal shock-resistant, so you can pull it straight from the freezer and start cooking, and the included leakproof lids mean you can prep, cook, store, and reheat all in the same container.

Six cooking functions cover most weeknight scenarios, and the Recrisp mode is specifically designed to revive day-old food, which is going to be great if you have leftover chips or fried food in your fridge.

The glass construction means you can watch what's happening as it cooks, something a traditional air fryer basket doesn't offer. It comes in four colourways: Cyberspace, Stone, Sage Green, and Pink.

At $499.99, it's $200 more than the original Crispi. For a household that cooks for more than two people regularly, that extra capacity and power will earn its keep.
