Cleaning your home's hard floors with steam is in vogue right now, and Dreame's latest product is designed to service that booming market.

The Dreame H16 Pro Steam has landed in Australia, combining a high-suction wet and dry vacuum with a dual-heat steam system in one machine.

At the core of the H16 Pro Steam is Dreame's Dual-Arm Robotic Cleaning System.

The "StainVenger" arm uses mechanical pressure to attack stubborn marks, while the "GapFree 2.0 Tri-Edge" flexible arm handles edge-to-edge coverage and corner reach.

Both arms adjust automatically to the surface beneath them, which Dreame says reduces the water residue left behind after cleaning.

The H16 Pro Steam combines 200°C SaunaClean steam with 90°C ThermoRinse hot water mopping, which Dreame claims delivers 99.9999% sterilisation of both the floor and the brush head.

If you've got young kids crawling around or pets that track in whatever they've been rolling in outside, that hygiene claim will likely be the one that grabs your attention. Tineco took a similar approach with its S7 Steam, so there's clearly appetite for this kind of product in the Australian market.

Ashinal Khosla, Sales Director for Dreame, said: "With the H16 Pro Steam, we've combined intelligent robotics with high-temperature steam technology to create a powerful yet intuitive solution that tackles tough stains while delivering exceptional hygiene for Australia and New Zealand households."

The machine also packs 28kPa suction for picking up both wet and dry debris, a 180° lie-flat design for reaching under furniture, and a smart brush-drying system that clears moisture in as little as five minutes.

That last detail matters more than it might seem: a wet brush sitting overnight is a hygiene problem in itself. Dreame's L20 Ultra robot vacuum showed the brand's broader commitment to self-cleaning technology, and the H16 Pro Steam carries that thinking into the stick vacuum category.
