I'm mentally preparing myself for motion sickness with Samsung's new 3D gaming monitor
It's probably fine. But if you're worried, there's also the 4K Odyssey OLED G8 model to consider.

I remember playing the original 3DS for the first time. It promised a glasses-free 3D experience, available in the palm of your hand. It was the future, and I was excited.
Right up until the point I looked at the 3D screen. Instantly, I felt woozy, my brain confused by what I was seeing and leaving me with a feeling of motion sickness.
I can't say for certain the Samsung's new Odyssey 3D will have the same influence on my foolish brain, but this time around, I will be more prepared.
What's the Odyssey 3D offering? Immersive 3D Gaming
The Odyssey 3D is a 27-inch monitor that offers a high definition glasses-free 3D gaming experience.
It does this by using advanced eye-tracking and a proprietary lenticular lens, plus a whole bunch of software that needs to run through the Reality Hub app.
Naturally, you can't just use the monitor to play any old game in 3D. Samsung is collaborating with game developers like Nexon (The First Berserker: Khazan) and Neowiz (Lies of P) to optimise the 3D experience for the Odyssey 3D.
Samsung is backing up that 3D gaming experience with AI-powered video conversion, which transforms 2D video content into 3D.
There are some limitations there, though: 3D conversion is not available for DRM content or when HDR mode is enabled. 3D conversion only supported with NVIDIA graphics cards (RTX 3080 or higher recommended).
You also need to be running the Reality Hub app for conversion to work at all.
If you aren't too concerned about all the 3D stuff, the specs of the monitor are still pretty good: A 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms GtG response time, 4K resolution, and compatibility with AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC.
The monitor also includes Edge Lighting, which synchronises with in-game colours.

Odyssey OLED G8: High Pixel Density and Performance
If you want a more traditional monitor, the Odyssey OLED G8 is available in 27-inch and 32-inch models.
Both models offer 4K QD-OLED visuals with quantum dot technology and are VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 certified.
The monitors also include Glare Free technology and Samsung OLED Safeguard+ to minimise reflections and prevent burn-in.
Gaming performance is enhanced by a 240Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms (GtG) response time, with support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC.
The monitor features a slim metal design and Core Lighting+, which surrounds the monitor with ambient light based on the colours on the screen.
