Samsung has taken the lid off its 2026 lineup of home audio products for Australia, including the fancy looking Music Studio speakers it first showed off at CES this year.
If you're thinking of upgrading your audio setup this year, these are the new Samsung products to consider.
Music Studio 7 and 5: speakers as art objects
The star of the show is undoubtedly the Music Studio series. Both the Music Studio 7 and Music Studio 5 were designed by French industrial designer Erwan Bouroullec, whose brief was to make something that wouldn't look dated in five years.
The result is a minimalist "Dot Design" shaped around the cone of a speaker driver, available in Black or White.
The Music Studio 7 is the more powerful of the two, delivering 3.1.1 channel audio with support for Dolby Atmos. It's the kind of speaker that can handle both a Netflix movie and a weekend playlist without breaking a sweat.
The Music Studio 5 uses a built-in woofer and front-firing tweeters with waveguide technology to spread sound evenly around a room.
Both models share Hi-Resolution Audio support at up to 24-bit/96kHz, plus a suite of AI-powered sound tools. SpaceFit Sound Pro listens to your room and adjusts accordingly, Dynamic Bass Control keeps the low end clean at higher volumes, and Active Voice Amplifier Pro boosts dialogue clarity when background noise creeps in.
Via Samsung's Q-Symphony, the Music Studio speakers can pair with a compatible Samsung TV and soundbar for a unified home theatre setup with up to five devices at once.
There's also a neat Spotify Tap trick: double tap your phone to the speaker to instantly kick off a personalised playlist without unlocking your phone.

Q-Series soundbars: more AI, more channels
The 2026 Q-Series soundbar lineup runs from the flagship HW-Q990H down to the entry-level HW-Q600H. The top model packs 11.1.4 channel audio with wireless Dolby Atmos and a dual active subwoofer, and it's Samsung's most capable soundbar yet.
New across the entire Q-Series range are two useful features. Sound Elevation uses upward-firing speakers to make dialogue feel like it's coming from the TV screen rather than the bar below. Auto Volume smooths out the jarring jumps in loudness when switching between streaming services or ad breaks.
Sound Towers: built for parties
Rounding out the lineup are two updated Sound Towers. The MX-ST50F puts out 240W and runs for up to 18 hours on a single charge, with a telescopic handle and wheels for easy portability. The MX-ST40F is a more compact option at 12 hours battery life.
Both are rated IPX4 for splash resistance (fine for a backyard BBQ, not for the beach) and feature the Party Lights+ system, which syncs LED lighting to the beat of whatever you're playing.

The Music Studio 7 is $749 and the Music Studio 5 is $499. Both are available now at select retailers nationwide in Black and White.
