This new lineup of lifestyle speakers from Bose puts a very large target on the Sonos ecosystem, particularly in the home theatre arena.
The Bose Lifestyle Collection is a three-product modular home audio range designed to grow with your space. It includes the Lifestyle Ultra Speaker, the Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar, and the Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer. Use one product on its own, pair two, or combine all three into a full 7.1.4 multichannel system.
The Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar is Bose's first major soundbar redesign in over a decade.
Nine drivers sit inside a single enclosure, including two up-firing speakers and two proprietary PhaseGuide drivers that project sound out to the sides without any physical speakers in those positions. The result is full immersive Dolby Atmos playback.
SpeechClarity uses AI processing to keep dialogue intelligible at any volume, while CustomTune (previously called ADAPTiQ) analyses your room using your phone's microphone and calibrates the audio to suit the space.
The Lifestyle Ultra Speaker uses an evolved version of Bose's Direct/Reflecting technology, with three drivers bouncing sound off walls and ceilings to create a wide soundstage from a compact cabinet.
Two can be paired for stereo, or added to the soundbar for a full surround setup. It's a direct challenge to the Sonos Era 100 SL and the wider Sonos speaker ecosystem.
CleanBass combines a woofer, a proprietary QuietPort acoustic opening, and digital signal processing to extract convincing low-end from a small box.
The Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer adds dedicated bass, which frees the soundbar and speakers to focus on midrange clarity and detail.
The system connects over Wi-Fi with Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, and Spotify Connect. It can group with speakers from other brands through the Google Home app or AirPlay, so you're not locked into a closed ecosystem.
Built-in Alexa is included, and Bluetooth handles quick direct connections. The updated Bose app walks you through setup and gives precise control over EQ, surround, and height levels.
All three products share a sculpted silhouette with a textured knit fabric grille. The soundbar and subwoofer add a premium glass pane accent. Both colourways, Black and White Smoke, are available across the range.
Raza Haider, president of premium consumer audio at Bose, said: "With the Lifestyle Collection, we wanted every detail to serve a singular purpose: making exceptional sound easy to enjoy. The flexibility, refined aesthetic, and experience are all built to fit into life at home, delivering on the one central promise that has defined Bose for decades: that sound matters."
