LG has unveiled its 2023 range of premium TVs in Australia, which includes new form factors and advanced technologies.
The range includes the flagship LG OLED G3 series, as well as the LG Objet OLED models – Posé and Easel – and the unique LG StanbyME portable screen and the flexible OLED display, LG OLED Flex.
The LG Objet Posé features an LG OLED evo panel and Alpha9 Gen 5 AI Processor, which work together with Brightness Booster Max technology to deliver more vibrant and clearer images.
The TV also comes with a sleek cable and accessory organiser to keep entertainment devices neat and tidy at the back of the TV, and can transform into a frame via the LG Gallery Mode function when not in use.
The LG Objet Easel offers a versatile and modern design with a unique form factor and fabric cover, created by Danish textile innovator, Kvadrat.
Users can use the LG Magic Remote to raise or lower the fabric to partially cover the display to only see a curated selection of lifestyle functions or to experience a full and immersive viewing experience on the 65-inch LG OLED evo screen, enhanced by the 80W, 4.2-channel sound system.
The LG StanbyME is a portable screen that features a 27-inch FHD touch LED screen and rechargeable battery.
With five wheels hidden in the base, users can move the screen from room to room. Featuring near field communication technology (NFC) compatibility, users can mirror content from an NFC enabled device via the LG ThinQ app.
The screen can also rotate up to 180°, swivel to 130°, tilt to 50°, and move vertically by 20cm, offering multiple adjustment options.
The LG OLED Flex boasts a bendable 42-inch OLED screen that can go from completely flat to curved (900R) and has 20 incremental settings.
It supports Dolby Vision gaming at 4K 120Hz and includes HDMI 2.1 features such as Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). The TV is also G-SYNC compatible and features AMD FreeSync for an immersive and realistic experience.
Users can adjust the height, tilt and even resize the image in the screen from 42-inches to 32- and 27-inches. The LG OLED Flex also features a built-in microphone with noise cancellation and 40W front-firing speakers with 2.2 channel surround sound and Dolby Atmos.
LG's QNED range is the company's premium LED TV that combines Quantum Dot and NanoCell technologies.
The 2023 QNED TV range comes in sizes from 55- to 86-inches in 4K resolution, featuring hundreds of dimming zones and mini LEDs, delivering more precise control of brightness, deeper blacks and ultra-high contrast ratio.
The range also features improved contrast expression, thanks to QNED Million Grey Scale Block Dimming technology, allowing for one million dynamic gradations.
LG is also releasing updates to its impressive C and B OLED lineups in the form of the C3 and B3 series. Only time will tell how quickly these new models end up in our recommendations for the best TVs in Australia.
