I keep wondering at what point the bottom is going to fall out of AI. With the news that Apple has increased the price of most of its product lineups dramatically thanks to the increased cost of components, I think it's going to have to happen soon.
While iPhones have avoided the increase (for now), and iPads have jumped as little as $50, the price of the entry-level Macbook Neo has increased from $899 to $1,049, a pretty significant $150 markup.
Fortunately, there's still a small window to avoid the price increases thanks to the End of Financial Year sales.
Right now, if the stars align and you're quick, you can not only avoid the price increase, but also get an iPad or MacBook for a price discounted from the original RRP. I wouldn't wait around though, I'm sure this situation won't last long. EOFY sales will finish soon.
Until next week

This week's news
- The Galaxy A27 5G is Samsung's $499 bet that AI belongs in every pocket » given all the price increases thanks to AI recently, the specs on this sub-$500 seem solid.
- JURA's E8 just got smarter, smoother and a little bit sweeter » It's pricey, but it can have your flat white ready for you the moment you get out of bed, and can you really put a price on that?
- Ninja's new HyperHeat pressure cooker wants to be the only appliance on your benchtop » I don't love pressure cookers, but Ninja remains undefeated in the product naming stakes.
- AirPods for your nostrils? Meet the drug-free hayfever fix from New Zealand » Very tempted to try this out in the Spring when hayfever season hits.
- MOVA launches the Diver A10, a new AI robotic pool cleaner for Australian homes » If I were to ever own a pool, I think a robot pool cleaner like this would be a non-negotiable.
- These glasses want to help you hear better, without anyone knowing » As an alternative to hearing aids, I think this is a genius (albeit pricey) idea!
- Shark's Glossi wants to bring the salon blow-dry home for under $200 » If, unlike me, you have hair, this looks like a solid styler.
New reviews
- Motorola moto watch review: Epic battery with limited software » This wasn't the product I hoped it would be, if I'm being honest.
- DJI Mic Mini 2 review: Compact and colourful » DJI has made an excellent product, but missed a trick in letting us create custom covers.
